So they pored in the oil,and then G_D let the light burn for 8 days.(the number in the bible for continuation,or new beginnings)
If we Look in Isaiah 49:5,6 we see a reference to this miracle,in type as seen in the person of G_D’s Messiah.Its interesting to note that the center candle of the Hanukkah candle is called the servant. It is from this part of the candlestick/lamp light is introduced. All other branches are lit from this one source.
Another point I’d like to make every Sabboth,the woman of the house is to light the sabboth candle to be the one to introduce light into the home.
This speaks of how G_D is to use the woman to introduce Light into the world.Gen 3:15,16.

A young Jewish woman was used of G_D to introduce light into this world a Light that has been lighting others for nearly 2000 years.
On the Feast of dedication as recorded in John 10:22(Hanukkah)Yeshua Jesus made it clear that He is the Light of the world in verses 24-39
Had there not been a Hanukkah there couldn’t have been a Christmas.For the Messiah wouldn’t be manifest in a defiled temple.
The Maccabees paved the way for the fulfillment of G_D’s manifesting of messiah to the world.For after 70 ad that would not be possible.That was the year the 2nd temple was destroyed.
